Disclaimers & Additional Information:
Tubers are sold as individual units, not as clumps.
All tubers were grown in Genesee County, Michigan, in 2024. We do not import any of our tubers.
Dahlia virus disclaimer: We do not have our tubers tested for viruses. However, we have a rigorous system in place to reduce the introduction and spread of viruses. We pre-sprout all of our tubers to catch early signs of disease before they go into our field, our snips are sanitized in between each stem cut as we harvest blooms and divide tubers, we thoroughly inspect each plant throughout the growing season, and we categorize and flag each plant after taking notes on the growing habit, bloom frequency and quality, the height of the plant, and the coloration of the foliage. Any plants that show signs of viruses are dug up and burned. Plants that are being monitored are flagged accordingly and kept separate from the top producing tubers. At this time, there is no cure for viruses that infect dahlias, and many dahlias around the world are likely already infected to some degree. When a dahlia has the proper growing conditions, some viruses may not noticeably affect the plant much, if at all. We only select tubers from our healthiest, top producing and top performing plants to be part of our tuber sale. We dedicate time each year to read and discuss the latest research in dahlia viruses, as it is one of our top priorities to provide you with good quality tubers at a fair rate.
Local pickup options will be available at our Michigan location only.
Each tuber has been thoroughly inspected and triple checked to have at least one viable eye. We begin waking up our tubers in February to encourage them to produce easily identifiable eyes.
Tubers will begin shipping to warmer states first and then work up to the colder growing zones. All shipping is from our Michigan location only. We will begin shipping in mid-March or April when the weather is warmer. Shipping is only available in the United States. All tubers are shipped via Priority Mail and we will email your tracking number once we process your order.
